Moving Drillz:


  1. While doing the Moving Drillz, we like to do the drill walking for one length of the court and then doing it at full speed. When walking be sure to move your hands as fast as possible. While going full speed, we usually execute the move at the free throw line, centre line and then at the next free throw line.

  1. 1. Crossover in front:
  2. -stay low and change directions when you cross the ball

  1. 2. Crossover through legs:
  2. -same as above but go through your legs
  3. Drill 2.0

 

 
  1. 3. Around the back:
  2. -same as #1 and #2 except the ball goes around your back
  3. Drill 3.0
  1. 4. Inside out:
  2. -as you dribble with your right hand, make a move to your left side, keeping the ball in your right hand and then pull the ball back to your right side and explode to the right
  3. -do the same with your left hand
  4. Drill 4.0
  1. 5. Inside out crossover:
  2. -same as #4 except when you execute the inside out move you then do a crossover
  3. -this is a great way to get your opponent off balance
  4. Drill 5.0
  1. 6. Spin and change hands:
  2. -while dribbling with your right hand do a spin and when you complete the spin continue dribbling with your left hand
  3. -be sure to do it starting with your left hand as well
  4. Drill 6.0
  1. 7. Spin with no change of hands:
  2. -same as #6 except you keep the ball in your right hand
  3. -do it with your left hand as well
  4. Drill 7.0
  1. 8. Through the legs and around the back:
  2. -do a crossover through your legs and follow it with an around the back move
  3. -this is a great way to get your opponent to think you are going one way and then blowing by him
  4. Drill 8.0
  1. 9. Stop dribble back three, crossover and go:
  2. -dribble hard to the free throw line, stop and dribble back 3 dribbles, then crossover and go
  3. -execute the move at the centre line and at each free throw line
  4. -this is a great move for guards to use when the other team is trying to set a trap
  5. Drill 9.0
  1. 10. Hesitate and go:
  2. -dribble low, then slow down and make like you are standing up, then get low and run hard by your opponent

  4. -excellent move when on a break and in a one on one situation because it gets the defender to stand up out of his defensive position
  5. Drill 10.0
  1. 11. Fake spin:
  2. -make like you are doing a spin, do a dribble with your back to your opponent and then go back the same way that you came from

  1. 12. Speed Dribble:
  2. -run as fast as you can and push the ball out in front of you
  3. -you should dribble the ball only four or five times when you go down the court
  4. Drill 12.0
  1. 13. Through legs foward and reverse:
  2. -dribble the ball through your legs with every step you take
  3. -try to go as fast as possible
  4. -do it while going backwards as well
  5. Drill 13.0
