Michael Kirkpatrick: Having come from a small high school it was tough adjusting to the speed of the University level game so Michael had to sit out as a red shirt for the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees for his first two years. After working hard in the off season Mike thought that he had a shot to make the team in his third year but it was not meant to be as he was cut from Ottawa's team. Having scrimmaged with the Carleton University team over the summer Mike was allowed to practice with the Carleton University basketball team however now that he has completed his university education he is focusing more on his career. Tennis: John Sklenar: John's story really is quite phenomenal. John started playing tennis at age 12 and unlike most players his age, he taught himself! With the little instruction he got from his Dad, and from hours and hours of hitting the ball against a wall or with a friend, John became a reputable player in the Ontario Tennis scene by the time he was 16. John proved to be the best Ottawa Junior tennis player by winning the Eddie Condon Tennis Tournament in 1999 and 2000. He also won his first Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) tournament at the Elmdale Tennis Club in the summer of 2000. At this point John knew that if he kept playing hard, he might be able to obtain a scholarship for tennis in the United States. Sure enough, in July of 2001 John realized his dream as he signed a letter of intent to attend the University of Western New Mexico on a scholarship for tennis.
Jesse Levine: At the age of 15, it is no secret that Jesse has a bright future in tennis. Having dominated the provincial tournaments in Ontario, Jesse has moved on to bigger and better in Florida where he is now attending Chris Evert's Tennis Acadamy. At the Academy Jesse is going to get the absolute best tennis teaching while he finishes high school. Afterwards he plans on following his fathers' footsteps by attending Penn State university on a tennis scholarship.
Football: Raymond Fontaine: In high school Ray was a busy guy. He was playing high school basketball, track and field and played club basketball for the Ottawa Pheonix, did club track for the Ottawa Lions and club football for the Myers' Riders. On top of that, Ray was able to hold down part time jobs as well as the odd photo shoot for his modelling career. Being able to run the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds, Ray was dominant in every sport that he played. After high school though, ray decided that he had to concentrate on the sport he liked most, and that was football. Although it was a tough decision, Ray decided to attend the University of Kentucky on a football scholarhsip where he is playing defensive end for the Wildcats. Ray is blessed with a very powerful, and athletic body and he is well aware that as long as he remains dedicated, the sky is the limit for his football career. The Computer Techies: Paul Baillot: Pauls' interest in film, computers, and movie making all started with a high school media project. Paul and his friends had to create a short video clip with alot of special affects and by the end of the project Paul had discovered his passion. Since then he has made several movies and has mastered various editing techniques. Paul invests alot of his time and money into learning about new cameras and computer programs that can help him make better special effects. This Computer Science Major is very interested in furthering his career in the computer, movie and special effects industry. If you have any questions about computers or movies, Paul is the man to ask. You can reach him at paul@drillz.com. |
